A newest sight of Budapest – a swimming pool on a boat

This swimming pool on a boat was opened in the centre of Budapest.
It is located in the bank of the river Danube, near the Pest side of the Erzsébet bridge.
You can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Royal Palace and the Citadel from this place.
Free entry in July.
Its cost was HUF 270 million, about EUR 1 million. Budapest capital and sponsors paid it.
Maximum 400 people can stay here at the same time and if it is full, one visitor can spend here maximum 2 hours.
It is 2100 sq.m. large and there are 2 pools – one for adult the other for children -, bar, showers and beds.
Mr. Gábor Demszky, major of Budapest said at the opening ceremony, that this is not only a swimming pool, but also a meeting place in the evenings with disco and cinema.
It will be open until 30 September.
If it works well, it will get thermal water in wintertime…
There were similar swimming pool on a boat in Budapest betwen the two world war, but that time its water came from the Danube.
