We still have to wait for the renovated Matthias Church

The costs of the renovation will be double, than expected.

Hungarian Cultural Ministry gave HUF 3.7 billion for the reconstruction of the Matthias Church in 2005, because the church became dangerous.

The ministry promised it will finish in 2010.

But the renovation didn’t finish yet outside - and didn’t start inside…

Now the new plan it will finish in 2012 and the costs will HUF 8 billion.

The church has about 1 million visitors in every year, it is one of the most popular sight of Budapest..
